tranny

Are there sensors in my automatic transmission that a computer will pick up? VW...... convert. ..... 2002 ... beetle.... Highway...no problem, city driving sometimes overrevs like out of gear, automaticly downshifts but sometimes very hard. these things happen almost every day...............thanks for help...JOE

Dealer checked out tranny...............said it was bad........new one $6900....rebuilt $3500...........WOW

Wow is right! I would get a second to third opinion on the tranny cost. Did the dealer say what the issue was? If your vehicle runs ok and sometimes stubbles try cleaning your throttle body. I had a Ford Explorer that was thought to have tranny problems and it ended up being a dirty throttle body throwing false code tranny issues. Either way get another opinion.
