parking lights come on when i hit the brakes?-HELP-

when ever i hit the brakes , the parking lights and interior lights come on. does anyone know or have a reason why this is going on?

It might be the obvious thing to say, but I'd have to say you have a short somewhere. Bust out the test light or ohm meter and start poking around.
