HELP ---93 camry- reverse light comes on when i hit the brakes

i have a 93 camry andn whenever i hit my brakes the revese symbol on das comes on can somebody help me thanx.

Any other symptoms?
I remember when my alternator was dying some of my dash lights were comming on and off.

Check the loom of wires inside the trunk, by the driver's side trunk hinge, for broken or frayed wires. They have a tendancy to wear from all the opening and closing of the trunk causing the wires to flex. Open the loom and look at the wires. If you have a DVM or a test light, you can use that to test the wires. Chances are you will find one or two wires that are frayed where the bare metal wire portions are touching each other. Repair as necessary.
