Lamborghini Miura!!

Based on the Hasegawa kit, color is Pontiac Bristol Blue, rims are Testor's Metallizer Brass colored paint. Tamiya clear, wetsanded, buffed and polished. I used Acu-Stion Photo-Etch detail set for the emblems and other small details in the interior.

Re: Lamborghini Miura!!

Very nice Modelfan! Seeing this makes me want to build mine. Here's a trick you might be able to use. The bmf around the Miura windscreen looks a bit heavy because it extends all the way to the surface of the windshield. You can lighten it by brush painting the area black just before you apply the clear coat. After body polishing, cut strips of the bmf and apply it to the windshield surround leaving a consistent 1mm of the black nearest the windshield exposed. A bit of flat clear brushed on the black as a final touch will leave a scale width for the brightwork and a convincing rubber gasket to boot. I paint the black before clear because the bmf looks best over a polished surface.
