Cool Progress: Hasegawa Lamborghini Miura SV

Need to have this car done by November so I went ahead and prepped it for primer while I had some mixed up for the Shelby One.

In 1972 two Miura's were painted in 'Black Violet' so I picked up a bottle of House of Kolor 'Violette Pearl' replicate it.

As you can see the body has a few slight sink marks that need to be filled. There are also sink marks on each side of the tail sides that run along the rear edge of the rear fenders that I sanded out.

A light coat of primer to check work.

That is a lot of sink holes to fill. Beautiful car, I know you will do it justice.

The body is a very thin casting, maybe too thin.

Re: Progress: Hasegawa Lamborghini Miura SV

I'll follow this thread passionately, it will help me waiting, as it seems Hasegawa hasn't planned to export this kit in France in the very next future*!... (there even wasn't a stand to present themselves at the Paris show that's taking place this week!) Coming from you, I expect nothing but a masterpiece!

(*: disapointment: the Tamiya Calsonic Skyline is still unavaible too! Is there an embargo on french modelers? )

Re: Progress: Hasegawa Lamborghini Miura SV

That is definately the prettiest color on this car.

I can't wait to get this car in hand and start it too.

Man, you frickin' read my mind! I've been setting aside a bit of cash for one huge order of stuffs from HLJ which will include a Hasegawa Miura and I was thinking to myself "I should build it up like one of those really rare purple ones."

You beat me to it, so you'd better do one helluva job.
