There are 3 ways I've heard of to lower your compression ratio...

1. Keep adding gaskets on top of eachother thus creating more space in there...not recommended! Head gaskets can easily break. But the cheapest way.
2. New pistons (or you can try to be DIY and try to change the shape/size of the pistons you already have- not recommended either).
3. *best way i think* New cylinder heads. But downside is this is the most expensive way. I think it costs about as much as a turbo itself...over $1,000 at least...

And a turbo I30 in my opinion would be just as cool...essentially a more luxurious version of the Maxima. I think turbocharging a G20 would be hella cool too cause that's got the SR20DE engine and it's still lightweight but nicer than an SE-R.

Personally I don't see why anyone would SC over a turbo. At least with a turbo you can adjust when it kicks in and stuff. A supercharger is running all the time. I guess if you can't stand waiting for your extra horsies to kick in...but I wonder what that does to the gas mileage??

If you don't put load on the car (boost), then you're not wasting extra gas. I start boosting a little before 2K rpm, but when I'm cruising on the freeway (over 2K and not putting load) I use as much gas as an N/A car.
