Cool Quicker spooling...

My uncle has a turbo deisle truck.... he had his buddy put a BOV on it and his buddy drilled a hole in an elbow joint and stuck it in the middle somewhere, this changed the vacum and now his turbo spools up around 1000 RPM. Is there a way I can make this same effect happen in an import car?... i dunno, if anyone knows how to make a turbo spool quicker then let me know.
thanks

sure, a 50 shot of nitrous would help it spool better the reason it worked on his truck is because he didn't even have a BOV before and now he added one. in an import car, chances are that it already has a BOV.

Adding nitrous doesn't REALLY make the turbo spool quicker...It does to an extent, but what it really helps do is to get the RPMs into the range where the turbo spools, more quickly.
Another reason that worked is because the truck puts out a TON more exhaust than your car probably does, and trucks often use low-spooling turbo's to help with low-end torque, which is very useful in pulling power.
