Tanx Willimo, i didn't back the roundels, it's a technique i never used i'll have to learn it and i have to buy some white decal sheets.

By the way, my current project is a GT2 and i want to put some 'Fast and Furious' decals on it, do u know where i can find such a kind of decals ?

Tanx.

Hey levincer,

once again, a very nice build. Can you recommend that kit, is it worth its money??? I like that gulf-blue and orange paint scheme on that gt40. So, I´m pretty excited about your next project.

Tanx Godfather,

This kit is pretty good but the decals are so fin, so difficult to use.

If you want to do the N°9, the one on the box but you have to find the exact color of the decal to complete it on all the front part and this will be difficult.

About the gulf blue, i didn't used aerograph cause i'm a newbie, it's my third model. On the documentation they told to use a 70% light blue 30% white mix. I was lucky, a friend of mine recommend me the Marabu DoIt spray can pastel blue. This color is very near of the gulf blue but the spray can are not easy to use (big flow, ...).

My next model are : GT2 Red Italian, 917k Gulf n°20, 917k Studio 27 Late Hippy (Yellow/Red) and a Lamborghini Miura Hasegawa Gold/Mica Red.

Supperb build! The GT40 is such an evocative car, always has and always will be one of my favorite cars. Even if it isn't a Ferrari!

You´ll love the decals on the late hippie, they are much better than the Fujimi ones. I also can´t hardly wait until I get my miura between my fingers, they are already a little nervous and excited getting a grip onto that baby!

It seems I am going to break bad news here...

The GT40 looks good (don't they all...), but the rear cover on the real GT40 opens rearward. That is why locking pins are at the front of the cover. That is also why the exhausts are pointed downward...

I am really sorry about that. I do not mean to spoil all the fun here (I am LM enthusiast and I love to see people building LM cars).

Better luck next time.

You're absolutely correct ridefast (welcome to AF ) However, levincer was just having a bit of a leg pull. Taking a few creative shots to make it look like there was an engine in there when the kit is really a curbside. As he says in the thread he then went and glued the rear section closed. Wouldn't have worked nearly as well with the engine cover pivoted at the rear
