Re: Finished : Alfa Romeo 2000 Gt Am

the wide arches are gorgeous!! I love the fat look. The rims seem to suit the model perfectly! How about some interior shots? Does it have an engine?

I think you did a great job for the first model! I wish I can do as good! Hope to see more of your work soon.

Tanx a lot for your comment Slk.

I'll do some more shoots, the interior is pretty simple buti did it in 2 colors, i'll let you see. There is no engine on this kit but the chassis is pretty cool too i'll made some pictures too.

My next projet is the 917K red winner of Le Mans 70.

What are the red stripes across the headlights? I've seen them on pictures of contemporary racers, but I've never known what they're for...

Great choice for a project. It's a beauty of a car and you did very well building it. Makes me curious to see you build the #23 Porsche 917K.

Lovely classic

Carlisimo, the red stripes are just tape. Their purpose is to keep the glass from breaking into too many pieces if they are hit. Or that's what I've figured out anyway...

Nice job on the model, especially since its your first after a long break. Are the wheels and tires from the kit? or from somewhere else?

Tanks Porsche, very nice 917 long tail on your signature, is that a kit ?

The wheels are from the kit, i think they could be better more flat, less shiny but there great anyway.

I'm on the 917k red from fujimi, i love porsche too.

Re: Finished : Alfa Romeo 2000 Gt Am

I have this kit and I think when I build it (whenever that may be), I'm going to look at lower profile tires to lower the car, maybe lower the suspension also.

The Porsche 908 in my sig is my Fisher 908 resin kit. More pics in my AF gallery.

I'm building the Fujimi Porsche now. I have a progress thread here. I'll be updating it tomorrow. I have a few building tips in the thread you may be interested in.
