92 tranny
Hey fellas, Tranny (RL4FO3A) went out of my 92 Sentra and all I can find used is 5 spds'. I can't see paying $900 for a rebuilt automatic in a car I just run on weekends. And used automatics are a scary concept.
Can I put a 5 spd. in it fairly easy. I can find clutch assemblies cheap in the scrap yards, and I know the console will have to be modified but are the axles the same? I've got too much time and money in the car to sell it, and not enough to fix it like I want.

i would say you just make it 5-speed. i think there has been threads about this in nissanforums.com

Thanx, that cleared up alot of Q's. It's nice to know what I can expect before diving in head first.
