intake

when you add a intake is the sound in the exhaust a noticable on?

will cold air intakes suck up water easily or do they pretty much need to be submerged

is it good to buy one that comes in two pieces so you caan change it into a short ram on rainy days

Re: intake

The noise comes from intake not exhaust, yes it's very noticeable.

No they will not suck up water unless fully submerged - Hint* Do not drive in 2' of water - bypass valves are useless IMO. Make sure to have all fender liners if using a Cold-air.

IMO yes it's a good idea to buy a 2-piece intake. I use short-ram in the winter time.

I do the same thing. It is nice to be able to take the two pieces apart and just stick the filter on the end of the main piece.
