What is the difference from a normal air intake and a dragon intake?

Filter design and material used. That's the only differance from ont short ram intake to another, or one CAI to another. A K&N cone is probably about the best kind you can get. I wouldn't trust foam type filters, and they aren't usually reuseable and washable either, cotton/gauze type filters ARE reuseable and washable.
