Ok - this thread is to be used like the other off-topic threads in the other forums. Its not here to drive up post counts but for you to use to BS about anything you want. Just remember the forum rules still apply.
This isn't a replacement for the regular off-topic forum area, but it'll be a nice place to get peoples thoughts who frequent our little corner.
Keep it clean and keep it fun.

I'd like to point out that our little corner has really been growing the last few months. We used to be really small as compared to most other car groups but we've just about caught the Lancer forum and the Supra forums for posts and threads.
While I know that posts mean nothing in and of themselves, but I think we have higher quality then most :iceslolan
wtg!
And heres a shot of the car from last June. If it doesn't rain this weekend, I'll be giving it a nice Zaino polish and wax job

Its ok of there are a lot of posts here. Just as long as people don't use it for whoring, it'll be fine.
I don't know if we'll be able to split the forum up into different sections (for sale, kills ect) yet. If we get enough traffic here for those things, I'll ask Igor if he'd do that for us. About the only real change I can do is to manipulate threads (move, delete, edit)
I'm working on a FAQ thread as well (another sticky). I'm thinking of a sale/wanted thread too. We'll see....

Well, seeing that this is an off-topic thread, thought I'd let you guys know that we're heading into finals this week. Any body else out there in my shoes? Damn, this is the first of many long nights with 3 hours of sleep (if I'm lucky). Yeah, it's gonna suck but hopefully it'll pay off in the long run. In about a couple of days, it'll all be over with...but until then, we'll be going through hell.... :( AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Speaking of mitsu, did you guys see the concept eclipse they rolled out at the detroit auto show? It was a hybrid that was AWD, gas used to power the front drive train and electric to power the back. Atleast that was my understanding of it's design. Also on a side note, has anyone heard of the hydrogen powered cars? If i'm not mistaken there are actually some in use in the state of california, can anyone confirm?

i didnt want to mention this in a car thread, for fear of getting in trouble, but detroit will not win the stanley cup this year...for you YogsVR4.....you see, detroit will be knocked out by Calgary, and kirpsoff standing on his head, and what ever cinderella story west team makes it to the finals, will be beaten, by a team from the east, that win games on skill, and smarts, not some good timing of a goalie to get on a hot streak.....:)

yogs i have a question for you, what do you think would be the best mod for my 3K a borla cat or k&n fipk
i would go with a VR-4 catback if i were you and a K&N fipk forwhatever the best price you can find
personally, i wouldnt spend anymore than $40 on an intake, and you can have a vr4 catback for less than 100 and its proven to give gains because of less bends and a bigger diameter

the vr-4 catback bolts right on, thats why i recommended it, i have plenty of N/A friends who did that and said they felt a noticable gain from the car. Also, thats why you dont see many threads about VR-4s getting catbacks because the stock catbacks are pretty damn good compared to most other cars catbacks.

i'd have to say a modded 2002ish corvette, i let him off the line first because i didnt know if he was gonna go, and i started pullin him in 3rd
other than that, i took out a trans am, supercharged 5.0 stang pretty badly at the track, uhmm, beat a VR-4 pretty badly on an interstate run (the thread is somewhere on the first page), took out a modded dsm turbo, thats all i can think off the top of my head

if i were you id hold on to your money until you can get a custom exhaust built, its cheaper flows way more than a stock vr-4's and sounds better (well thats up to your selection) get the fipk and a testpipe

off the line, no
from a roll, yes
i've raced my buddies vr-4 from a stop (him- 12 psi, open intake, gutted precats), he got me from a dig but i caught him
and i trap higher in the 1/8 than my other buddies BPU RT/TT
and that highway pull i made with a stock VR-4 where i kept pulling away until i decided to shut down at 150 (my 4th gear is geared almost the same as a 1st gens 5th gear, and our final drives are very very close)
FWD drivetrain loss is awesome, it just sucks off the line

I would say get the TT Borla if you have the cash but keep in mind the cheapest you will find it for will be about 600$. No cutting is required, only a slight bend in one spot to make it fit around something. Probably getting the K&N FIPK and a Test Pipe like someone else said would produce the best gain for the money.
