Yeah man, sorry to hear about that Young. You're right dude, someone has got you guys scoped out. That's pretty freaky too....because I know my parents do the same thing at times. Only thing is, they're driving Corolla's and 4Runners so it's not as nice as a steal as the Vette but still could happen. Hope you guys find out who did it and beat the crap outta 'em. Keep us updated....now I just gotta warn my parents about it. Could happen anywhere you know!?!

YogsVR4
11-24-2004, 11:30 AM
Young, sorry to hear your dad Vette was stolen. I hope they track down the bastards who did it and he can get his car back safe and sound. Aside from that, I can only imagine the precautions he'll be taking in the future with his cars.

youngvr4
11-24-2004, 01:49 PM
yeah me too, i use toi leave mine running for awhile also, but for now on i'll just set the turbo timer for 5 minutes and take the keys out and lock the door.

anyway
they found the car, its damaged but they didn't say how bad it was so............... we'll be going to pick it up, i'll update you on what the damage is.

even though its damaged, at least he can put up on jack stands and slowly fix it back to new

GritMaster

I don't like Wankers. Did they mention where it was found?

School got out at 11 am today, I'm so happy, and my night time internship got cancelled, early jump to a four day weekend :D

I made another $500 today lol, like I said its not companies you've heard of, its things like "American Funds Washington Mutual Fund" and "Goldman Sachs Capital Growth". Sory bout your dads car, at least you'll be getting it back. Is shit like that covered by insurance?

I just sat in front of my computer the whole freakin' day and wrote an 8 page paper. Damn I'm tired! Now, I gotta edit the damn thing....gosh I wish I was a writer... :(

Kev3000GT
11-28-2004, 01:54 AM
LOL! While you did that, I procrasinated doing the exact same thing! I have a 6-8 pg paper due and I did 1 page the whole day. I feel like such a loser. Depression makes you not want to do anything at all then makes you hate yourself for being worthless all day. I feel like walls are closing in around me and all I can do is throw my arms up helplessly and cry. The only thing that makes me happy is my 3000. That's why, naturally, I've gotten so into it. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably run away or kill myself. Slade, you wish you were a writer? I've started writing poetry to help me vent my frustrations. It's a great release. You really should try it.

sLADe781
11-28-2004, 03:37 AM
Yeah, I wish I was a writer because I'm only taking 3 classes right now but they're killing me because I have to write a paper every week--literally. Sometimes, I even have like 3 or 4 due when they overlap. Damnit, I do math, not english. I can't believe my math prof is making me write a paper....that just kills. I chose the math path to avoid that but here I am, slaving over a paper....shoot me already please....

xXxRocker5150
11-28-2004, 04:40 PM
Yea, I've had to do those math papers b4, and the worst part is when the teacher'll mark u down a bunch of points for improper grammar or w.e. and it's like he doesn't even focus on what the papers about...

Musashi3000GT
11-29-2004, 10:03 AM
Oh man Slade, you and me would make an awsome team buddy. I love English, I was a wiz at every single gramatic course I ever took, I sucked at math though. Actually when I was a senior and had to pick a career I asked myself "which is the least math orriented career out there" and thats why I chose psychology. I used to write papers while I drove, just turn on a tape recorder and start narrating, then Id get home and type it up. Dude I'm telling you we'd be invincible, like Robin and Cyborg, BOOYAAH!

Thourun
11-29-2004, 02:47 PM
Damnit they towed my car... They want $150 to get it back too, that seems wicked harsh, whats a normal towing fee? I was there wne they did it too and they wouldent give me my car fuckers.

Igovert500
11-29-2004, 03:08 PM
Why they tow it...was it parked illegally...because mine is too...right now...and I'm having second thoughts about it...

YogsVR4
11-29-2004, 03:22 PM
If they used a flatbed (and they need to on VR4s) the towing fee can be much higher then normal. The fact they have you over a barrel is probably why its as high as it is though.

Thourun
11-29-2004, 05:13 PM
Yea well I went and payed it off, it was 100 instead so that was good, and they gave me some brake fluid and checked it out because the owner of the shop was nice the dude who did the towing was a jack ass, I wanted to talk about what I needed to do to get the car and he just took off and allmost ran me over scraping my exhaust on the way out. When I went to get the paperwork for hte car from the campus cops the cop at the desk was a dick and thought I was lying to him (because I said I had had the car here around 2 weeks when it was closer to 3), he was just being a dick till he gave me the shit I needed and was like "have a nice day sir".

Migra
11-29-2004, 05:38 PM
lmao Musashi, that's EXACTLY what I'm doing. I'm a psyche major right now, cuz I hate math :D

You're me in ... how old are you? Well I'm 20 so whatever that works out to be lol

youngvr4
11-29-2004, 07:00 PM
i've been towed 3 times so far and the highest was $270 the least was $159

sLADe781
11-29-2004, 10:05 PM
LOL That's tight Musashi, especially the part about driving and writing a paper with a recorder. That's probably one of the greatest ideas I've heard in a long time. Still....I can't jump on it because I literally suck at it. But yeah, we would be a good team....actually, good is probably an understatement due to my lack of verbal abilities. HAHA :p

Kev3000GT
11-29-2004, 11:41 PM
Musashi, have you published anything? I have a bunch of poetry and don't know what to do with it. It could be song lyrics and worth millions!! :grinyes: Or...it could be firewood. :uhoh:
And on a completely different topic yet still off-topic, Tad, I've read about your success in the stock market and I want IN! Sadly, I don't know the first thing about stocks. What is stock buying 101?

Thourun
11-30-2004, 12:07 AM
Well I lost $187 today so it generally evens out with a very gradual gain over the long term. Generally I make or loose overall market change in points X $5.00 the account was given to me when I was born by my grandfather and parents so it had rather modest begingings (forget exactally how much) but now its signifigantly more since I don't take out what I don't intend to put back in within a years time, so basically I have a nice way of leanding myself money with no hastles. I told what stocks I had and how many of each a while back, keep in mind that they are managed so money is shuffled around between them depending on how my uncle/analyst feels it should be.

Musashi3000GT
11-30-2004, 01:31 PM
Wow, Thourun bro I'm sorry to hear about the tow, that sucks. I used to steel faculty stickers and such to avoid those situations but the university has gotten smarter and now itd be impossible to try that!

Migra, dude I'm 24 right now. so your into Psyche too, awsome! I like it alot but seriously i would of rather been a race car tech. oh well, its a living!

Kev, I used to write alot of poetry and songs too, I played the guitar alot so I always had music in my veins but never took it far enough. I had to choose between music and martial arts. one made my hands fast and flexible and could move my fingers really quick and the other made my knuckles bleed alot....I choose the later. and the only thing I ever had published was a bunch of comic art in Wizard magazine about 7 years ago.

Slade, yeah well I grew up talking to myself so writing a paper outloud came naturaly. and nah dude my gramar still sucks, cant ya tell? I miss-spell stuff all the time.

Young, wassup with your dads car man? any luck? does his insurance cover theft?

LOL yea man, cocky bastard, rite yogs???

Speaking of thefts, my cousin just got his 96 integra with the V-TEC engine, and bunch of supporting mods stollen out of his garage, becuase in the house his parents had the keys for it hanging on a rack, and they wouldn't let him take it to college. The insurence is only covering the car, not the mods, so he's really pissed and stuff, oh and they stole about 2000 dollars worth of musical instruments....

Woot! Made $1,036.72 on the market today! Its so much fun looking at my stocks at the end of the day and seeing that my net worth jumped $1k with me sitting on my ass all day!

Well I guess you might say it jumped $8300 since I sold the car too.. Dunno if a car is included in ones net worth since the value is what you can get for it.

hewwow all ....... ok i dont know if i was dreaming or maybe it was just my imagination but ... i think i once saw a "Mitsubishi" emblem written in cursive writing? This was a long time ago while i was browsing through websites ... i think ... or i hope lol because that's what i'm looking for. I hope it exists lol. Has anyone ever seen that logo before? hmmm

GritMaster
12-02-2004, 01:29 AM
It was propabbly custom made. I have a friend who can make car logos.... well I used to be friends with him, haven't really been in touch for a year or two now.

NitroguN
12-02-2004, 02:03 AM
Cool. Thanks! Yea i think it was custom made because i can't find it anywhere. It looked really nice. "Mitsubishi" in fancy cursive writing. I'm looking for sites that custom make emblems. The very first site i found charged about $300 for one ... ugh lol Custom Stuff = $$$. I'm waiting for my car to come out of the shop. It's been more than a month since the accident and i've been 3kgtless for soooooooooooooo long now it's gonna be great to have my Vrooooooooooom Back! W00t!!!!! GritMaster
12-02-2004, 02:12 AM
Yeah I Noticed :P
I saw a skyline once that said "Skyline" in a real fancy script on the back, I think it was custom made too cause I havent found a badge like that again.

I can talk look my "friend" up and see if he still does that shit, he works for a body shop about 30 miles from my place. I'll see what it would run to do a badge like that.

Halo 2, Devil May Cry 3, Metal Gear Solid 3 ...... they all remind me that i need to buy a system sigh lol The last system i had was Sega Dreamcast, which was a really great system. I think the best system i've owned tho would probably have to be Playstation (tm!) ..... Final Fantasy 7 ..... Metal Gear ... Twisted Metal, Jet Motto, MDK, Road Rash ...

^ yeah, I took a week off from work when SRS came out just so I could play it through. good game but now I'm waiting for GT4. my list of games is soooo long. with all the maintenence to the car I've hardly had money left over for games, hopefully someone in my family will see the 20" x 30" list I posted on the fridge in my moms house! its my christmas list!

Woot just figured out that if your AWD in my state you don't have to pass the sniffer  "All-wheel drive vehicles will be given an alternative test that includes a visual check of emissions components and a two-speed idle test. ", that means all I have to do is get a cat from a part out and gut it!

Also I just contacted my insurance company since my policy for the month ended like yesterday so I need to cancle it... They said that I need to send them my plates before they can cancel it and that I'll have to pay for another month.... Fucking RMV.. Why do they need my plates if they're notified I sold the car because the title is changing hands..... stupid messed up inconvienient system.. I had my plates tacked up on the wall too...
