Thanks guys for your help and support in finding this and helping out......you lot are a great bunch here !!
I have found out who the person is, and what has pissed me off even more is this person has been sending me PM's about entering our Model of the year contest etc etc
But the person has said sorry and said it was a bad mistake and is very sorry for there actions
All i can say is that i'm very very dissappointed and thinking about not bothering to post any more pics of projects ....but that kind of kills off what this forum is all about
I really dont have a problem with people who want to use a photo of my models....As long as they ask first and give credit to were they got it from and dont want to claim it as there's.

Cheers
Pman

Pman, you're too forgiving. I'd be trying my best to make and example out of him. I say burn him , or at least have his account on that site deleted.

The guy probably meant to say that he "is very sorry" he got caught. How are you guys finding out about this stuff? Are yous searching, or do you just happen to come accross them on different boards?

According to the User Guidelines of that site, stealing other people's work is instant account deletion.
Warren, the least you should do is make certain the person's account is deleted, seriously.

Had he not been caught, he would not have apologised.....

Who exactly is it?
I just want to give him/her what he/she deserves. And so we all can keep a lookout for him/her.
There is no way someone can "mistakenly" steal anything. He/She knew exactly what they were doing.

P.S. I have no patience or mercy with supidity.

I got the email back from the admin and this is what he said

Quote:
Hi Henry,

Please forgive my english if it is poor...

I have sent the detail email and progress report to Warren personally.

Nevertheless, thank you for bringing this up and keep me informed.

Right now, i and my admin's team are discussing this problem and eventually will make a decision.
The punishment range from temporarily-banned Welly to Permanent Deletion and Forever-Denied-Access to our site.

Thx
Autoshow Admin

They'd already taken the pic down when I looked, I guess... Was he posting it as his own model car, or his own real car?

Well, I have that site in my bookmarks, cause they have some pretty nice "real life" cars, and I just so happen to stumble across the persons post.

if you have a web browser like Opera.. you can right click hassle free. also.. if you hold down right click, then press the left click button while holding down right click, let go of right click, then let go of left click the menu will popup with no hassles. however, if you do this to steal picture, you are stupid. i can't stand people who do this i say permanent deletion! also ..he must browse and use this site.. BAN HIM!!!

To me it looked like he was trying to pass it off as his real life car, there was a separate section for 1/24 autos where he posted a few pics of a model 350Z and BMW Z3 (or Z8, can't remember) I suppose it's a compliment he tried to pass Warren's work off as real
