My SIXTH 1/12 67 Corvette 427

Yeah, yet another one of these. I must be boring everyone to death with these.
Yep. Just another one of these. I`ve built probably a half dozen of these or more so far. This one took about 6 months to build. The stinger is painted on, no decals used. There are probably about 10 coats of clear, wet-sanded and buffed. I added a period correct window sticker, and a correct "FM reception" label to the radio. I also scratch built the regulator and wiring on the driver`s side fender well. "Text" was added to the hoses and spark plug wires. The frame has accurate chalk markings.
Let me know what you think!

Sweeeeet.

Very very pretty.

How did you do the red stripe on the tyres?

Now to switch to obnoxious nit picking mode, should the label on the hose wrap spirally around it? I really don't know what would be right, but having all the markings line up straight looks a tad odd...? But that's the only nit I see.

For the red stripe, I just used a fine tip brush and tamiya flat red and painted the "ring" to the best of my ability. It was a painful process.
As far as the hose, my reference pic actually had the labels on the hoses like that. It is just "GM" with a square behind it, repeated every 6" or so on one side of the hose from the looks of it.

Seriously- you hand painted them on with acrylic??!! Amazing work. And here I hoped you might have some secret good way of doing it that you could share. They came out terrific.

Looks absolutely superb. Could be a real car and the painting of the stripes on the tyres is very impressive!

Hawk, show as many of these as you like! I personally never tire of seeing how each one comes out! I would like to request another 1/12 Camaro build though!

I would try to get them all together and take a picture of them all, but two of them have been sold.
