Scale Motorsports 1/24 Photoetch 5-point Racing Harness is here

This should look fantastic on my F40, F50 & Enzo, if I can assemble it correctly. LOL.

Got a couple of SMS seatbelt sets to use myself, they look great. Bit of a pain with rally and road cars that you need to buy two sets for the one model.

F1 Specialties also have a nice new range of seatbelt hardwear out. As the name suggests these are designed with Formila One cars in mind but should work on plenty of others too.

Picked up two sets a while ago from greatmodels.com for $3.40 each, now the price has gone back up..

Love the function, though! Can't wait to make a real racing bucket with those belts in it

I have search and read the models from SMS and based on the PE set that you just bought, its a SMS8124 1/24 right?

If so, that package contains 4 seatbelts.
According to them, 1set means 2 seatbelts=2seaters
2sets is 4 seatbelts so yes if you got 3 sets=3 x 2seatbelts= 6 seats.

I'd have thought that since you have the sets and instructions you'd have been able to figure things out for yourself? That is all the rest of us can go on.

Looking at the instructions and hardware it is apparent that there are enough bits and pieces to make up two complete harnesses. Only snag is that there is only one pair of each different type of shoulder buckle. Therefore, if you want any kind of consistency and accuracy, on anything other than single a seater, two sets will be needed to do one model. Of course you can then use the other stlye of buckle to make a second model. Providing that buckle is appropriate. Simple!

I have an old Lancer WRC car with photo-etch seatbelts like that. Such a pain to get looking right, but they look good when they're finished. Hope you bought some tweezers too .

If based on what you say is right, I think I got it wrong then. Because there seem to be 4 of the centralise connector where all 5 belts come together and connect to.
So if there's 4 centralise connectors, shouldnt there be 4 seatbelts? and 1 set is equivalent to 1 full set of a seatbelt?

You can make 2 Seats with 1 set !!!!!! It isnt 5 point but i have used the same seatbelt set !! I think this looks better than a five point racing harness in a enzo (or F40 F50) !!
