The Tamiya RX-7 r1 has an engine and is black on the box with a pic of an engine, but the enfini RX-7 does NOT have an engine even though the hood opens for some odd reason.
This info is based on what I've heard but it SHOULD be true. If I've made a mistake, someone correct me. |

I have heard that it does have an engine but is poorly detailed.

Wait!!!!! Everyone forgot the only place to get the 13A Rotary from the 1st generation RX-7. The Monogram RX-7, which was also offered as a Racing Beat tuned IMSA Camel GT competitor. It's a great GREAT kit and one of the few times that an American company put a lot of effort into an import subject. The only two weak points are a lack of detailed struts for the front suspension and a lack of interior side panel detail. The shocks and rear trailing arms are a little soft, too.
