1981 Camaro Berlinetta Conversion
Hi all. I just finished this camaro for my girlfriend. this was her car like 20 years ago. im not an expert on these types of cars but i tried to be as accurate as possible based on the limited info online. it was converted from the 1979 Z28 kit from revell. the conversion involved getting rid of the T-tops, fender vents, rear spoiler, hood scoop, and front end ground effects. I added BMF trim around the windows and also added a pinstripe along the body and around the wheel wells. i added seat belts made from scratch and glued them to the ceiling just like the real car. hope you like it. she hasnt seen it yet. her birthday is in july.

Re: 1981 Camaro Berlinetta Conversion
That looks REALLY clean, and it's refreshing to see a stock 2nd gen with NOTHING on it. How bout an engine bay pic?

Wow great job, looks real clean. I like the seat belts very good. Nice build of the stripped down version of the camaro. Keep up the good work

Not a huge fan of that year Camaro, but that is a very clean build! It looks real. Awesome.

Re: 1981 Camaro Berlinetta Conversion
The first I heard of a Berlinetta was the one owned by a dear friend of mine way bay. Hers was beige and I liked the car alot. This is why I enjoyed this conversion so much and the results are great. Nice job on the photos too.

Re: 1981 Camaro Berlinetta Conversion
Great replica of what many old-timers call a "mainstreamer"; a model (usually a conversion) of a common car in a popular trim level below the full bells and whistles variant that usually was the kit subject.
Nice job, very unexpected subject matter...at least on this particular board.
