new rx7's advice on a 1991

Hey im dave and i am completely new to the world of rx7's. I barely know anything about rotary engines and such and the fact that i really really like rx7's

Point is, I'm looking to buy one as a first car and found a 1991 convertible with about 105k miles on it for a little less than 6 grand. I haven't seen or checked it out in person yet but honestly wouldn't know what to look for and say it was in good condition, engine and all that wise. is it a good deal? I'll take any advice I can get and im still learning
