I was surfing around the net trying to find a Silvia front hood emblem when I came across this site. I thought it was pretty amusing.

I thought it was pretty funny. If your going to take all the time and spend all this money to make your cars front end look like Nissan, wouldnt the most logical thing to do is save yourself the money and go buy yourself a 240sx?

Wouldn't you say it's "imitating" when you convert something to "be like" some other thing? Maybe that's why they spelled "imitate" wrong...just like Cheez doesn't mean the same thing as Cheese.

Seriously, though, I wish I could convert MY Civic to look just like a Silvia... I mean, by the time I spent the money on the parts and paint and labor, it'd probably cost near as much as a 240sx, only without that lame "good handling", "horsepower", "RWD"....

yup, those headlights are stock 97+ headlights for the 240sx. they cost 250 a pop, so thats 500 dollars, plus the 2 fenders, that another 500 totall, then you gotta get a hood, so we get a nice carbon fiber hood another 500 dollars, then you need to get that R33 bumper which is around another 250. then you have to paint the sucker, the body shop that i know will paint everything for around 750. wow so thats a total of 2000 dollars just to convert the front end of your 95-96 to look like a 97-98. in japanese terms, to convert to a Zenki to a Gouki. Zenki meaning before, Zenki meaning after. (i think)

Why on this earth would anyone who bought an S14 upgrade to 97/98 front end? Honestly whats the point? To have neat headlights? Im sorry but no headlights are worth me spending $2000 + dollars. In 6 months when everyone has the damn things people are going to be looking at the stock S14's and saying wow those are cool lights and then everyone will be swapping back. It will be the new "In" thing to do, blow all your cash on your car that really never needed anything new in the first place. *END RANT*

that is one of the lamest, gayest things around. i met a guy at the Import Car show in Toronto who thought his Civic with that kit was the shit, even though he had nothing done to the engine. i took him down a couple of pegs after asking what kind of performance and handling it has, and then laughing my ass off as i walked away shaking my head.

btw, TatII. Zenki means "early", and Kouki means "late". so the slant-eye S14's are Kouki, the round eye (like yours) are Zenki.

MAN that is so dam LAME!!!! i just went to import Revolution and i saw this last gen Prelude with the S14.5 head lights man did it look so dam STUPED!!! i cant express it enough it was hella stuped looking. The beautiful Prelude got stuck with little tinny S14 shark eyes it didnt match the body at all the big originals look so much better... man i dont like the look of the Shark eyes and expecialy the s15 eyes on anything other then a 240 where they belong!!!! man was it bad!!!

I am planning to get kouki s14 lights on a 1994 Accord. I am not doing it so my car looks like a nissan or to be original. I am only doing it because s14 lights look similar to accord lights and they would give the car an "updated look" I am only doing the light conversion and nothing else. What is wrong with my plan?

so why do you want to beat the guy up that's selling the kit?

he's makin bank on people that are too cheap to realize that if they sold their car and spent the price of the kit and their car, they'd get a 240.

making money off of stupid people is what it's all about.

and if come on, if you sold stuff like that, and someone said hey, i want to convert my car, and i want to buy 2k worth of stuff from you...

would you say no?
