UK Rear lamp clusters : Clear/Red or Orange/Red

Does anyone know the reason for some UK P11's having orange & red
rear outer lamp clusters & some have clear & red
My P11 was born with the less attractive orange & red
The year of car doesnt seem to matter,some do & some don't ????

beats me....i thought it was the year of manufacture until now.....
maybe its to do with what colour the car is just guessing though

Yeah I did think colour was the answer untill I saw Kev's GT in silver
with Clear lamps ??? (my brother inlaw has a silver P11 with orange ??)
Who knows,it must have just been a batch thing ?
