Re: Revell '65 Mustang Fastback
it would be neat if it was an "what if!" but to get an accurate eleanor you will need a 67 fastback shelby!

Re: Revell '65 Mustang Fastback
you want the AMT 67 Shelby GT350 kit. and PSF Hobbies is supposedly making a conversion kit to make it into Eleanor.

It can`t be converted to be an exact replica without alot (ALOT!!!) of work, IMO. From the pictures below, you can see from the different angles that there are many subtle differences between `65 body style (same as the `66) and the `67 unfortunately. I actually built this one below as an Eleanor "inspired" `66 Shelby GT350R cause I liked that body style a little better, and the AMT kit was horrendous IMO. Risko did an amazing job with the `67 that was in the contest. It may be worthwhile to check his WIP if you want to go that route. I built this one like forever ago: |

Re: Revell '65 Mustang Fastback
elanore inspired, that is obvious, you said nothing about how GOOD it looks.
I'm working....ok, I'm thinking of a project of a 64 elanore convertable. No, it's not accurate, but who cares, I think it's going to look good. that's what matters. do what you want, build for yourself. and show us the work.
