1/24 Aoshima - Toyota Celica LB 200GT
hi everybody this is my current project and it should be finished by 4 FEB 2008 so I'm in rush again.
![]() for this model I build a different kind of model (I usualy build Gundam). Me and my friends want to do something different and not Gundam to improve our techniques. anyway I use Gundam techniques for this kit. first of all look at the box ![]() this is the real car ![]() when i opened the box and look at the body part I found that Aoshima plan to use this part for several version of Celica Liftback. The version I want to built are different from the one they gave me. this picture you will see the line along the body so I had to remove it ![]() after remove and sanding ![]() as i said Aoshima use this part for many boxes so they give me a lot of emblem attach on the body and they give me PE Emblem too. So I have to remove it again these are PE Emblem ![]() ![]() ![]() after that I engrave all the line with Kotobukiya modeling saw. for the back and front trunk I cut and remove them.

Re: Inprogress 1/24 Aoshima - Toyota Celica LB 200GT
dash board:
refer to the real photo I found that again Aoshima Gave me a wrong version haha ![]() I painted it and try to make it the same of photo ![]() another piece is front grill I cut the original one off the frame and replace it with hasegawa modeling mesh for realistic look ![]() after the paint cover all parts. for metalic look I use perl powder mix with 184 Superclear II and paint it over the white body. ![]() ![]() anyway I have a problem here when I tried to decorate it with decals I use marksofter and...... decals shrink T_T and I lost them so.... I have to mask it by myselft and steal some letter from gundam decal for new side sticker ![]() after paint ![]() after I paint the strip I use enamel thinner X20-A rub that area for a while this may help you for the thick color layer. |

Re: Inprogress 1/24 Aoshima - Toyota Celica LB 200GT
NICE to see someone build this kit! Now I know I want to pick up this kit to make a "replica" of what I want my 1:1 to look like. You're doing a pretty great job. Keep it coming!

Just wanted to say I think you've done a fantastic job so far and I love how it looks, especially with the stripes on the side, really sets it off nicely. Your dash looks very realistic too and super clean. Really can't wait to see more.

Re: 1/24 Aoshima - Toyota Celica LB 200GT
looking good. i love old skool toyotas. actually the model or kit s not wrong. the celicas(as well as all old toyotas) have differnet trim levels and the interior has plenty of differences between them. i have a ke35 and ta22 celica, and all others ke35 and ta22 that come during our meets have different dashes and trim levels.
![]() im loving your detail work.

Wow, very nice. I have been waiting for someone to do this kit so I could compare it to the Hasagawa TA22. I think I may pick it up now!
