Hello again, I'm back after a looong time, and I'm building a lot of models at the same time...
This is the Revell Ford Escort Rally (MKii) and instead of rally version I'm going for the drift scene... I dont have much free time, so be patient.. well this body needs a LOT of work... (sorry for bad picture focus)..

Re: WIP: Revell Escort MKii -drift-
painted the wheels gold:
put together the engine, and painted it (but it turned out too shiny ):second hand painted the body: test fitting wheels and hood: what do you think????? test fitting the engine: painted the engine (again): painted wheel bolts: I tried to glue some soark plugs... but it ended up a disaster.. I glued them on, with cyanacrylic cement, and sfter a while they went off (!!!) I guess I shouldn't glue them on top of the paint.. RIGHT??? SOME HELP HERE PLEASE should I scratch the paint and glue them on the plastic??? (what material do you use for cables??? -these are real (very thin) cables..) I also sprayed another coat of white on the body (but I screwed this one also!!) I sprayed too much paint......... now I have to sand it and paint it again........ |

Re: WIP: Revell Escort MKii -drift-
Didn't you use primer ??
![]() that could be the answer to your paint problem, because paint will easyly cover primer than plastic and putty. |

Re: WIP: Revell Escort MKii -drift-
Well, I sanded off the paint and sprayed the boby with primer.
Then I painted it white. I also painted the interior white. |

Re: WIP: Revell Escort MKii -drift-
This is a drift version and is going to be "used" with scratches, dirt, and stuff.
Maybe I will also use it in a diorama! Here are some exterior progress pics. and some engine wiring.. |
