kind of a newb question

i was curious, how do you guys make the body kits and stuff (hoods, wings exhausts, etc) for your model cars? any info or a full write up would be appreciated.

well anything really, like how do you guys make them, where do you buy them... stuff like that, i dont know exactly what to do when it comes to building custom stuff for models

Well, first of all, we can never express enough how important it is to master the basics before you start modifying.

Are you already comfortable with the basic building routine and minor mods like lowering and swaping out wheels?

Have you heard or seen raw materials such as styrene sheet or epoxy and polyester putty?
Those are common materials for custom work, and many hobby stores, especially train model stores, carry them, or you can mail order, too.

i have heard of some of the raw materials (just epoxy) and yes i am comfortable with swapping the wheels and basic stuff
