*NEWB QUESTION* ...Whats an ECU and where is it?
Also what does it do if everything is fine, where can I find a list of what how many flashes mean and how do I know the difference between 4 flashes and 6, is it continuous or is there a pause. What color does it flash? [1990 CRX Si. ] Thanks and please don't flame me

alright, the ECU is your computers brain, tells you car what to do. It is located under the carpet on the passenger footwell, right up by the firewall. Check out Ami's (LadyNRedSi) website at http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com for the ECU Codes. You just count the blinks and yes, there will be a pause in between if you have multiple codes. The LED will be red. awww yes, it does nothing when there is nothing wrong, just when the check Engine light is on is when you need to check it.

If you ever hear the term ECM, it still means ECU, but it is the technical name for the computer in 92 and up Civics.
