Help with Stereo/CD player
Ive got a 96 civic LX with factory radio w/cassette. The casette is seperate unit from radio, I'd like to replace this with the factory CD. My question is will any honda single cd player work? Are all years the same so could I use one from a 97 civic? I don't really want to go aftermarket, unless the cost becomes a factor. Thanks for the help

As long as it is the same generation, it will fit no problem. But where are you buying the CD player from? In some cases i've seen the factory CD playas selling more expensive than lets say a nice pioneer deck. Like a dealer for example...

I was looking on e-bay...I might check local junkyards, I had planned to stay away from the dealer. Thanks for the info ....any chance an accord radio will fit?

it goes by wiring harness not gen.
i think the wiring harness is from 89-99 but i might be wrong so go ask a shop, they sell the wiring harness for aftermarket radios, it says what civics are the same right on the package.
