Question Please Help with 03 CD Player Problem

Hi, I was driving listening to a burnt CD-R like Normal in my '03 Galant, stock infinity system in LS. A few days ago I noticed it started going from track 7 to track 80, which doesnt exist and I could only bypass this by going back to track 7 on the CD and fast forwarding through it to get to track 8, no big deal. Well, Today it froze! The entire CD player froze as I forgot that CD was in, and about the problem it went to track 80 and is now frozen there, and even more odd is that the LCD display reamins frozen even while the car is shut off. Can anyone help me? Is there a way to reset this or something?

It's not your cd player... its your cd. Some times the cd player will want to read the empty space on your disc if your playing a burned disc.

Yeah I figured as much, but now how do I get the CD player to unfreeze?!? It's just stuck on the same thing, no buttons work, and it stays on even when the car is shut off!
