Csc

where can I get it? will it take off like 6 coats. I have a celica I just bought that was molded in red and for some reason the primer didnt cover it, the red came threwafter 2 coats of primer. then I sprayed it with gloss white and it still show threw the whole car looks pink. also how do I use it, just pour it in a bowl dump the body in and let it sit for awhile. Ive never used it before. I have put so many coats on Ive lost the panel lines. do u think I can recover it? last time I tried to strip I body I used thinner and put the body in a bowl of it, the whole car dissappered in like a couple of hours. it was a supra I was pissed.

You can get CSC(degreaser) at Walmart, and it will strip 6 coats of paint.....BUT, did you spray it with Tamiya lacquer spray?
If you used Tamiya spray, you will have to use brake fluid to remove the paint, CSC won't do anything to it.....and you may have to leave the model in longer.

BTW, don't forget to wear rubber gloves when working with CSC, it not only dissolves grease and paint, but skin too....

I have removed Tamiya's TS sprays w/ CSC before, but it took forever! :o

Check the FAQ; I wrote a step-by-step for working with CSC, and it's in there somewhere...

In my experience, full-strength CSC will not harm styrene plastic, colored or clear, even when left in contact for 30+ days.
