Yea there are go karts with that much power, but it would kill just about any car here, including you GSX. 0-60 in 3 seconds. 0-100 in about 7 seconds. Top speed 160mph. Most are 250cc shifterkarts. There are like drag cars though and you have to rebuild the engines every couple hours of running time.

153hp go kart?
That has to be the Dumbest thing ever. I would like to see your friend try keeping it under controll. What does it have one it? NOS :hehe:
I have never heard of such a thing. Hell that damn go-kart could beat my Grand Prix then if you compare weight to Hp ratio. I don't believe it. Heck my racing go-kart with 10Hp could have probably beat a metro....:bandit:

Well.... yes it is true here is some links to some Kart companies to take a peak..http://www.bulldogmotorsports.com/prod/engines.htm
http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products/rkt/karthome.html

Kart racing is big business in Europe and is actually where most open wheel drivers get their start.

Well is there any such thing as putting a 152HP Motor on a go-kart? From my Go-Kart racing experience. We ran 5HP briggs and they were race modified and were probably making about 12HP or around there. The Driver and Kart had to weigh 300lbs in this one class. So we raced on this 1/6 Mile dirt oval. A Sheriff came by and had his radar gun out. He said the top 6 were being clocked in roughly a 70MPH. Thats aswome. It dosent feel like you are going that fast. Now a Go-Kart with 152HP just sounds insane. I need to see pictures and see what this Turbo or V-6 these Rednecks got put together on a go-kart.. What does everyone else think?

This is a late post, but I have a custom kart with a honda CRB600F4i engine in it. I don't know what the actual HP output is, but I'm guessing 130-140 with the aftermarket parts. It's very hard to control at low speed due to the massive torque but once I hit around 50 MPH the spoiler and front wing hold it down. 3G cornering! BTW - I'm 16 -- technically a kid?
