Reverse pop-out!?

I have a 1991 G-20. My reverse pops out frequently when i use it (i have a manual transmission). I have heard of the 5th gear pop-out but never that kind of thing. Anyone has an idea about this problem? Is it common? Does it require immediate fixes? Does it damage the transmission?

Never heard it mentioned before. It has happened to me, but only when I don't get reverse fully engaged, which is easy to do with our gearboxes.

That's happened to me along with the 5th gear pop-out...I just got my car a week ago (93 g20) They don't really bother me that much, i can usually tell when it's fully engaged now. Sometimes when i can't get it to engage right away i row through a few forward gears before i try again in the reverse.
