You know those fujimi kits than come molded in a nice color?...
You know those fujimi kits than come molded in a nice color? If I spray clear over the body, will it look like a nice paint job?

Sure, but you will always have the mold lines to look at (probably can be rectified by some sanding/polishing, styrene polishes out very nicely.)

Paint it.
Some of there molds if you look real close have a "swirl" in some of the panels from the plastic molding and will only go away with painting.

If you are going to take the liberty of sanding and polishing it all, you might as well paint it. The end result will look a lot better for the little bit of extra work.
The aim(s) of modeling (in my point of view anyway) are to have fun, and try and create a realistic looking car. There isn't really any better way to create a realistic looking model then giving it the same treatment the real things are given, paint. (If you haven't noticed yet :finger4: ) the real things aren't just shiney plastic.Sorry about the somewhat offensive post (if you took it that way) but I just don't like the idea of a non-painted model.
