Eclipses Have Engine Problems?

I seem to remember reading about how eclipses had faulty engines or maybe it was that the engines went out extremely early? Does anyone know what the problem is and what years are affected by it? Thanks

I'm guessing your talking about crankwalk. It only effects 2g turbo cars (95-99). They arent sure how many people have it but i think the numbers are around 20%. If you take care of your engine its not a big worry.

I've got problems with my 2003 GS 2.4L engine. It has 13,000 miles and it looks like a bearing is out on a connecting rod. Currently the dealer is reluctant to fix it even though its under warrenty.

that 2.4 isnt part of what you heard,all 4G63's are prone to crank walk,because of the 6 bolt block 1G's are less prone than the 2G 7 bolt block.i have 71000 miles on my 98 GSX and i havent had a single prob,not even a battery problem.....now the car is bent in half but ya know hehe.
