Its probably from the speakers or the stereo. You need a noise filter.

no my radio is broken and that buzz only sounds when i step on the gas pedal

could it be the fuel injectors needs cleaning or the spark plugs need replacing?

Noise filter huh? My stupid passenger side speaker rattles or some crap and I know it has no filter thing on it. Does that screen really take that much sound out?

does it make the noise when you rev the engine in park or neutral or just while accelerating?

no he means alternator whinning because your alt is spinning. maybe its your ac or power steering. try and check your alt, power steering, and ac. because these all spin with bearings, so you should check it out

you dont need to replace your alternator unless its bad. ac as in air conditioning, like the compressor. is your car an auto or a manual ?
also did this noise just start or is this the first time you have noticed it ?
and why cant it be the power steering ? you need to pop your hood and try and listen and find out where the sound it coming from. we cant really tell you what to do, we just make suggestions on what it could be. you need to find out where the sound is coming from.

i didn't turn on the ac so it shouldn't be the ac
it is a civic hb si 90 standard
well i just got the car and it's first time noticing it after driving a couple of times so im assuming it was there already but never really heard it
it can't be power steering b/c the car doesn't have power steering
i dont think it's hearable when im revving or acclering in N it only does the "computer whizzing" when i acclering

almost like a ticking sound coming from under the dash at idle and then increasing as you accelerate? mine does that too and I'm still trying to work it out.

Ive seen this on a few 4gs If you're lucky you may just have a loose heat shield on the exhaust or even just a loose muffler clamp. Or you may be a victim of the infamous Honda "A-pipe" rattle It seems that many Honda exhaust systems have a double pipe near the engine, with an inner and outer tube. This is in the interest of keeping the exhaust gasses heated for the catalyic converter. Unfortunately the welds on the inside don't always hold, and you can get a loose inner pipe rattling at certain times when the engine speed matches its natural point of resonance. To fix it you could replace the pipe assembly, but that's expensive. A cheaper way is to simply cut two slots crosswise about a quarter inch apart, 1/3 of the way through the outer pipe. Then with a punch, ding the narrow strip thus created inward until it touches the inner pipe. Fill the hole with brazing metal, making sure some of it brazes the strip to the inner pipe. Make sure you don't leave any holes that will leak exhaust gasses. (it actually could be numerous things, but this is common)
