Exclamation Power window and Door lock problems

I own a 1991 T-bird and just recently the passenger side power window stopped working. Now, the drivers side can control both windows but the passenger cant move their window. Also, ever since I bought the car(used) the driver side power door lock never workd. Everytime I press the lock and unlock button the passenger side only works. What is wrong and what can be done to fix these problems?

if voltage still goes to the window motor, try hitting really REALLY hard the bottom of the door in the middle, try 3 times and try rolling the window up, try it like 10 times, ,and if it still fails take off the door panel and try it again.

The door locks is probally the switch, pretty common. They are cheep, and pretty easy to replace.

Hope this helps

Know anything about a 92 SC? My passenger side window is stuck in the down position. I took the panels out, but I still cant get to the lift motor to check it out.

I have had a similar experience with my driver side door lock and the problem is a corroded switch. I have seen several auctions on E-Bay for a drivers side switch panel. Buying one and swapping out the switch should solve the problem. On mine for the time being I swapped the offending switch to the passenger side window since that one isnt necessary for my uses (I can still control both windows from the driver side)

My T-Bird is a 92 so the switch panel should be the same as your 91. They are real easy to open up and change but very hard to clean. Don't bother trying to clean the contacts that will only buy you a few weeks.
