car interior
do you guys use primer for the interior? and what paint do you guys use for the interior?
also for when you guys window tint for windows, how do i get the bubbles to come out? |

1) Yes i primer the interior, i primer every part of a kit except for the clear parts, and chrome parts:flash:
2) for the most part I use testors little bottle paint, but sometimes use automotive paint(I GOT TO GET SOME TAMIYA) 3) havent tinted windows before, but it must be your paint, but cant really help you there HTH :frog: |

Primer...
I do; I use Testor's paints for my interiors mostly.

It's not Really Important to prime the inside if you haven't got the paint, but it pays too if you can. All the paints you need have to be a Matt finish(seats etc) or a semi gloss(dash etc)
Tints......Put a light coat of water mixed with dish wash onto the window then lay the tint over the window. To help get all the bubbles out, get a soft cloth or brush and keep smoothing the bubbles out(shouldn't be that many if you have done it right.)

There is also spray tint but it is hard to get an even finish.

If you have an airbrush Tamiya's Flat crylics cannot be beat for interiors. For 2 tone interiors you can mask for the second color in 10-15 min.(Try that with Testors)and they can easily be stripped with ammonia or alcohol. I am still amazed when I see people using gloss colors for interiors. Use flats and you can add sheen to things that need it by rubbing withyour finger or coating with Armor All Protectant.

Thanks for the tip 935k, I think I'm gonna try using tamiya acrylics for the interior.
