Is there any way I can give my cav a deeper sound without sawing off the tailpipe and welding a new one? Not a whiny high pitched sound... but a throatier one...

Flowmaster has developed a special muffler for the 4 and 6 cyl engines. I haven't heard it in person but on their website you can listen to a sound clip. Tell me what you think.. :smoker2:

If you put a cat-back exhaust on that would be a good way to give it a deeper sound go to www.rksport.com

do you have a 4 or 6cyl. its really hard to avoid a farty sound with a 4.
other wise just get some type of intake (either high flow or CAI) and get a high flow cat and cat back exhaust
