Want a sound system in my car..plz help!

hi all

i recently just passed my test and have a citroen saxo 1.6i AUTO Car.
now im looking to get some sound system in it. can anyone tell me what i would need to buy so that the car booms a whole street down with bass?? ! well basically i'm looking for powerful system but cheap (i know it wouldn't come cheap, but you know, cheapest it can be) oh ya..and how it's all fitted in? could i get a garrage or something to do it?

hmmm hah.. well come on give us a budget to work with first of all.. and judging from make of car im guessing you dont live in the US?

doubt youll shake the street with a low budget but im assumign you want loudness(SPL) over sound quality(SQ)?

i am from england. i would be willing to spend up to £1000 (1800$?) on the sound system!

Check out Blade Ice, they're a dealer in the UK for quite a few good products! As far as subs, I'd look at the Resonant Engineering (RE) SE line! Also, Check out CDT for component speakers (the CL-61 series is a great start). As far as amps go, look for good quality RMS power (never peak). I'm not sure what type of access you have to amps in the UK (especially the prices!) So maybe pick ou a few and list them, we can help critique what you get and make sure you're not getting ripped off! peace

PS: Head Unit wise, look into Alpine...you can't go wrong!
