Taurus Remote Programing

Hi,

Can anybody tell me how to program the remote for my 1997 Taurus?

cycle the key in the ignition from lock to run 8 times within 10 seconds ending in the run position. The locks should lock and unlock.
Now press any button on one transmitter and it should lock and unlock again. Do the same for the second transmitter and it should lock and unlock, then switch the ignition off and it should lock and unlock once more. Verify that the keyless entry transmitters work properly and that's it!!

You must have at least two transmitters to program. (even if one works)
Up to 8 keyless transmitters can be programmed to one vehicle.

These instructions will work on Taurus models, 93 - 95:

Turn ignition to RUN or ACC. Momentarily jump pins in programming connector located in LR quarter panel area. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter (up to 4 transmitters total possible). Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

These instructions will work on Taurus models 96 - 97:

Cycle ignition from OFF to RUN 5 times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter (up to 4 transmitters total possible). Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
