like it says, I need rims like or VERY similar to these (need to be 8 spoke) so I can modify them to build these rims
![]() ANY help would be great. if you have some similar, please post a pic, and the type, and where I could get them, if possible

These are probably the closest you'll get to them, though they are a different number of spokes. You could alternatively try various BBS rims, which are often made in scale.

Re: need rims like these
well I did find a set that is VERY close, and I bet everyone here on A/F modeling forums has a set.....
the R/M Integra type-R has a set of rims that has the 8-"Y" spokes that just need to be machined to the right shape. I hope that I can get access to the lathe at work. if not, I guess I'll have to buy one for my hobby desk....OH DARN!!! hahaha any suggestions for a hobby size desk top lathe? hopefully under $100, but still good enough to do some accurate, if not precision work.

Re: need rims like these
Can you fabricate the rivets? Then Fujimi's BBS V-spec (No.49) is a close match.
http://www.fujimimokei.com/product/partsmaker.html You can either add rivets that you often find at train model stores, or cut the spokes and graft it onto another wheel with rivets already on the rim. That'll be much cheaper than buying a new machining tool. ![]() EDIT: Sorry, I meant to say No. 35: BBS RG346 17in. Last edited by hirofkd; 10-10-2006 at 10:05 PM. |

Re: need rims like these
those both have 10 sets of spokes. the ones I was looking for only have 8. that's ok, though. the ones I found in the ITR kit will work perfectly, please stand by for a build up of the rims!!!

Re: need rims like these
Their only close...
I guess they would look a bit better in a different finish. Now I'm going to have to see just how close these are to the BBS RG's.
