Shocks and Springs

Hey all, I'm going to buy Neuspeed Race springs to drop my 'Lude, and I've heard that Koni Yellows are the best out there but that Bilstein Sports are valved for the Neuspeed springs. Which would be the better combo, I also drive my car daily so would the Neuspeed Race springs be too harsh? One last question, are Bilstein Sports adjustable? Thanks, Peace

both are really good. im also thinking about going with neuspeed race and bilsteins. no, they are not adjustable, but i don't need the adjustability.

also, neuspeed coilovers come with bilstein shocks.

Bilsteins are self adjusting. Which means no manual screwup. Konis are nice though. Either one youll probably be happy.

Whats up Racing Rice

The Spring rates of the Neuspeed race for Civics are not that agressive. The Bilstein Sport shocks are more designed for the Race springs. The standard HD shocks are not designed to use a lowering spring like that.

The Nuspeed spec Bilstein shocks are valved to dampen the springs the ride height is adjustable.

The best out of the box shock and most agressive is the Koni Yellow, and the Bilstein Sport, IMO. The KYB AGX are no chump either.
Any of those would dampen the Neuspeed springs.
The most agressvely valved shock would be the Koni yellows, where you would feel uncomfortable at times, but the shock can be adjusted.

I have the Neuspeed valved Bilstein shocks on the Race spings, and it is a soft ride. Very comfortable.

Whats up guys, my sister is gonna be getting a EG6 pretty soon and im trying to lay out the parts I can get for it now before she gets it. Do any of you guys have any experience with the H&R Lowering cup kit, I can get both the springs and shocks for $650, non adjustable H&R springs and adjustable H&R struts and its a 2-2.25" drop, what do you guys think, theres also Skunk2 that im considering but that might be too much of a drop and the camber will be totally screwed. I like the Neuspeed sport springs cause there not a huge drop but its enough to close the fender gap, I wanted to get it either on Tokico blue's or AGX shocks, what do you guys think? Thanks.

Dezoris

But would you trust KYB AGX on Neuspeed RACE springs to not blow out within the year? I know KYB says not to but your post leaves me wondering...peace

Ya I know, it was just a thought, KYB suggest's not to lower more then 1.5" on AGX shocks, im thinking ill just get Eibach Pro Kits if im gonna get it with AGX shocks or I might as well get the H&R set.
