i have a 91 civic dx 4door and i was just wondering if a d16 of a 98 civic will fit and how much work is on wirring and convertin to fuel injector because i have a dual point fuel injection system

it shouldn't be that big of a deal, the mounts should bolt in, for wiring and other things you should know either ask Ami or look here they might be able to help.

my buddy has a d16z sittinon his garage and he said that he would give it to me but it is missin the tranny and the ecu. i havent found a ecu for a 96-98 civic and my other buddy has a tranny but i have to replace the main seal. i could get the tranny and engine for about $400

Dude...that is a good deal. ECU's are a dime a dozen (well..OK, maybe $100+ each) I would recommend checking out ebaymotors.com ...With all these dudes swapping b-series motors into their 6th gen Civics, you should easily find a ECU for that 98 (d16y8, right?)
And, for now, you can bolt the d16y8 or the d16z6 to your d-series tranny!!! - Then maybe upgrade to an Si tranny later on. If the motor is out of the car, seals are pretty easy to replace, and cost about $15 (I just replaced all the seals/o-rings/gaskets in the ZC I am rebuilding.) They are only a pain if the motor is in the car because you have to remove the timing belt, and all that other crap to get to the seal. Go for it!  :flash:

we already took the tranny apart and replace the seal but having problem with the engine because my buddy wants to sell it to this other guy because he is willing to paid more. so i have to find a new engine and ecu in the junk yard. i want to see if i could get a better engine. will the ecu plug and play to my?
