Boost it. A $1600 Greddy kit will make your sohc more powerful and cheaper than a B16A2 swap.

Re: All Motor D16 vs Turbo D16...???

With the Greddy kit you'll see about 200-210 wheel horsepower and torque at 9psi on stock internals. No matter how tempting, I'll warn you now not to go past that. I have a track buddy with a DX hatch running 18psi with a full build, but don't know how much hp he has. I'm guessing 280whp ballpark..?

yea, 215whp is a ballpark figure for when you should start upgrading internals. you can go more than that but reliable tends to take a turn for the worst

definatlly turbo. but if you are going to be using stock internals consider a good engine management, injectors, fuel pump, boost controller,etc...

Re: All Motor D16 vs Turbo D16...???

i hear about 210whp is about the max you can put down with an all motor D. and as noted above, all motor DOES NOT ALLOW nitrous.

for turbo on a stock D, don't go over 200whp to play it safe for a daily driver.

deffinitly go with boost, there are so many reasons i couldnt even begin to name them but, cheap, readily available and efficient are the first things that come to mind.

im almost done putting together my setup for my y7, here's a link with pics:
