aluminum vs iron LT1 heads

What are the differences between the corvette aluminum LT1 heads vs say 95 impala ss iron heads? Is it a straight swap, and the combustion chambers the same size, etc... I am considering the swap, but want more info beforehand.

yes, they are the same, except for the material. as a matter of fact, they are better flowing than the camaro/firebird aluminum heads. they used the corvette castings for the impala heads.

you know, both have good and bad involed. steel will flow better on some things then aluminium, but the steel hold heat. alum weight is less, but the steel will hold high horsepower better...well i can go on and on about the ying and yang, but all in all, if you have money, go alum. if you want power, go steel

Well, the aluminum heads are quite a bit lighter obviously. You are going to get more HP out of aluminumn heads too.
