What metal is the engine made from?

Can't find any info on this on the chevy website, but what is the aveo block and head made from? cast iron? aluminum?

If you have the owners manual , in the back somewhere is a " specifications " page . It should give a description of the engine make-up .

The block is cast iron. The head is aluminum.
