92 civic engine......questions.....
will this fit? what is needed and ow much work is involved?
also do you think 450.00 is a good price? (23,xxx miles)

what model is your hb ? si, dx ? what model car is the engine coming from ? ex, dx ? but yes a 92 civic motor will fit in your car, and you can use your stock tranny. is it a complete motor ? $450 is good maybe alittle high if your getting the d16z6 sohc vtec, if its a dx motor then thats way to high

Yea a 92 civic engine will fit. Only one thats really worth it is the d16z6 which is the sohc vtec one.

its coming out of an ex, and yes its a vtec, so that price is about average? also, do these engines have any problems i should take into consideration? and...one more question...is a 88-91 hb std lighter than a 92 hb ex?

a 88-91 std is lighter. it will bolt right in. Just make sure you swap to MPFI of you still have DPFI. Other than that, i think all you need is the ecu and some type of vtec controller

you might wanna think about getting the wiring harness if you are changing from DPFI to MPFI. It will make things easier. Also, I think you will need a resistor box. If your using your tranny, yu should have no problems with axles. But, if your going 4spd to 5spd, I woud check and see if they are the same. I'm switching from D15 t D16A6 soon so these are my concerns. Good luck and keep us up to date.

hehe, ecu cpu.....all in all its the same thing, i just got home from work when i posted that so i was in a computer state of mind, anyway....ami, thats the same engine i am getting isnt it>? how much faster are you and what kind of #'s do you run?
