Best Piston Choice

Going to build an all motor D16Z6 and want to know what piston i should get -JE-AEM-Arias? And what rods?

depends on what you're aiming for. if you're looking to go forced induction, nothing beats a set of JE/SRP, Arias, or even Wiseco pistons.

as for rods, Eagle H-beams are cheap but heavy. Crower rods are bulletproof, but expensive.

for all motor buildups, I would recommend going with stock/oem pistons, and shotpeening the stock rods. for forced induction, I'd go with Arias pistons and Eagle rods.

Thanks Drift, I think i'm gonna go all motor. The D16Z6 I bought didnt come with pistons or rods. Have you heard of taking integra rods and having someone maachine them to fit on the civic crank? I read it in a magazine once.

i wouldnt bother... eagle rods would be cheaper than all the extra cost of machining integra rods.
