K&N Typhoon Question

I just installed a K&N Typhoon Air Filter into my 1999 Civic Ex. I finished it with no problems? However, there is still a hose (I beleive it is the vacuum hose) that has no where to go. It just sits there sucking air. What do I do with this? Is it a problem? Thanks
