Exclamation Possible ebay scam..!!

Possible ebay scam going on here, so anyone bidding on items from this guy, be careful, he looks to be using another account to push up prices. I was bidding on some items from him, then annie4paws outbid me. I didn't bid anymore, and no one else did, and he didn't get anymore bids, so annie4paws was the winner. I would now think those items reappear on ebay in a few weeks.

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI...tem=5980157934

It might not be a scam, but check out all his items, plus his past items.. All bidded on by annie4paws. Beware..!!

Yep - Annie4paws seems to like bidding on this guys kits... I would actually doubt that annie4paws is someone else - I think they are one of the same..!! Looking at the userID, wonder if this is the name of his wife, and she is forcing him to sell his collection..!!

Think about it, annie4paws - ann, you bitch, you dog.. If I'm selling them, I want as much as I can get for them.. Or maybe I'm looking into the userID a little too much..

Re: Possible ebay scam..!!

How big of an idiot do you have to be to boost the price without others bidding on it? Do people just love to spend as much money on something as they can?

Re: Possible ebay scam..!!

ebay has a anti fraud service to report this sort of thing. any viable suspicion of the sort should be reported to ebay and they will thoroughly investigate

Re: Possible ebay scam..!!

I am a silver power seller on eBay which gives me direct access to eBay suport staff. I will report this now as it is about as clear a case of shill bidding as I have ever seen.

Re: Possible ebay scam..!!

its just a way to up the bid, so if it is him or someone he knows he doesn't lose anything and if someone really wants it he'll get more than its worth, i guess some people are greedy as hell.!

I took a look at his last 5 auctions and every single one has some series of bids by that buyer. It has to be a scam. report this guy to ebay.
Good luck. . .

I've reported it, giving details of he items I bid on, and lost due to annie4paws. If he is shill bidding, then I hope he gets what is due him.. His account removed..!!

Thanks all, I thought it might be a scam... You have to be careful though, as you can't just report someone unless you are really sure.. In this case, I think it's blatantly obvious.

Obviously you don't understand how shill bidding works.

If the other bidder had not bid on that item the price would still be 4.99. annie4paws has bid only to increase the price of the item nearer to the other bidders highest bid. They must have been close as well, because the bidder has decided to place a higher bid.

Re: Possible ebay scam..!!

Exactly. This is a scam because the bidder has bid on all of this guys items to drive the price up. It could be a person with close relations to the seller or the seller using a different user ID to bid and drive the price up on their items. Either way this is obviously against eBay rules. Look at the bidders name and you'll see that they have zero feedback, most likely because the seller doesn't use this account to purchase items but simply to drive the prices up.
